In Two Steps Forward, Martin and Zoe are both struggling to come to terms with their recent past – for Zoe, the death of her husband; and for Martin, a messy divorce. Looking to make a new start, each sets out alone on a journey of midlife renewal, reinvention and rediscovery, walking the ancient Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. The Camino changes you, it’s said. It’s a chance to find a new version of yourself. But can these two very different people find each other? Wise, funny and romantic, Two Steps Forward is the first novel co-authored by husband-and-wife writing team Graeme Simsion and Anne Buist.
