A New, Bigger and Better Tatura Library
The new Library is currently under construction at the existing Casey Street site. Greater Shepparton City Council has committed funds and secured a $600,000 state government contribution towards the $2million project.
The existing library is unable to meet the current or future needs of a contemporary community. A new, innovative, accessible and multi-purpose facility is needed. The community contribution will go towards finishing and
equipping the Library with new, modern furniture and a state of the art Library fit-out.
Chairman of the Tatura Library Community Fundraising Committee, Carl Walters said, "A community contribution was always planned as part of the project funding package and now we need the community to put up their hand and say, we want our Library to be great."
A new high profile project sign will be unveiled and a fundraising prospectus will be available to launch the campaign. The target for the campaign is $100,000 and the committee is very hopeful that the community will embrace the campaign and get behind the project.
