Robyn Howarth speaks about her book Faraday A community rediscovered.
In 1972, two masked men burst into a school room and kidnapped the teacher and 6 students. After 52 years, survivor Robyn Howarth shares her story.
Robyn Howarth was 10 years old when she was kidnapped from her classroom in Faraday. Her book tells her story of life on the farm, that heinous event and the aftermath. Robyn tells the story through the lens of childhood trauma, and the effect it had on herself and her family. It has taken Robyn 52 years to acknowledge with pride that she came from Faraday and was educated at Faraday State School 797. Robyn will speak about her book which will be available to buy at the event.
