Friends of the Library

There are currently five 'Friends' groups affiliated with the Goulburn Valley Libraries. New members are always welcome! Each 'Friends' group holds regular meetings and events.

Friends of the Euroa Library

Since its inception in April 1993, The Friends of the Euroa Library have donated books, furniture, equipment, etc. as well as being involved in the renovations and building improvements that makes the Euroa Library the great facility it is today. Friends of the Euroa Library also operate the Already Read Bookshop at 78 Binney St. 

Meetings are held in the Library on the first Monday of the month at 5.30pm.

Friends of the Mooroopna Library

The aim of the Friends of the Mooroopna Library is to promote, enhance and support the Mooroopna Library and its facilities for the betterment of our local community.

Meetings are held in the Library on the second Tuesday of each month starting at 5.00pm. New members are most welcome

Numurkah Friends of the Library

Meetings are held in the Library on the first Wednesday of each month at 5.00pm. Everyone is welcome.

Friends of the Shepparton Library

By becoming a member of Friends of the Shepparton Library, you will meet great people, make new friends, have some fun and most importantly, support your local library.

So why not join this vibrant group and share in the exciting activities that are now being planned for the coming year? Meetings are held in the library (unless otherwise advised) on the second Wednesday of the month at 10.00am.

Membership is $5 per year for adults, $3 for Home Library Service members, students and pensioners. For all enquiries, contact Shepparton Library on 1300 374 765.


Friends of the Yarrawonga Library

By becoming a member of the Friends of the Yarrawonga Library, you will meet new some great new people, make new friends and have a great time, all whilst supporting our wonderful library.

Meetings are held in the library on the first Wednesday of the month at 2.00pm.

The aims of a Friends of Library group are:

  • To encourage the use of library and information services by the community
  • To support and assist library management in the promotion and development of excellent library services
  • To represent library users
  • To undertake other activities appropriate to the interests of particular groups.

Aim

Our aim is to support the important work being achieved by Friends groups nationally on behalf of libraries and the service they provide, recognising that libraries have obligations to administrative and funding authorities as well as to their user community.
